Arts Rising Festival

Come out to the 3rd planning meeting for Arts Rising 2018. July 23rd Monday 6pm at the Leir House Cultural Centre.
This will be our second year of Penticton’s very own Arts Rising Festival! We’d love your input and assistance in making this a great community event.
And..we’d love your feedback from last year, too!

Penticton Arts Council  snakebite2

2nd Annual Snake Bite Film Festival

Snakebite is hosting a weekend in which you and a team make a movie - write, shoot, and edit - in just 48 hours. On Friday night, teams draw a genre from a hat. They are then given a prop and line to include in their films. On Sunday night, in a wild dash to the drop off event, the film is turned in - and teams celebrate. The film is then screened during the second annual ARTS RISING FESTIVAL!

Open to any age, gender, skill level, or background. All cast and crew must be volunteers.

The Official time period is 6:30 pm Friday August 10th to 6:30 pm August 12th. Opening gathering will start at 5:30pm Friday at 220 Manor Park Ave, (Leir House) to go over rules, team genre pick and team sign in.
COST: $50 registration fee, deliverable by cash or cheque to the Leir house, Or online here

Come out and see what our local artisans and artists have to offer.
Some of the artists will have their studios open.
The Potters' Guild annual show is on, check out the lovely pottery they will have for sale.
