PDCAC'S ARTS MATTER PROGRAM (AMP)
The Arts Matter Program brings arts and culture to the general public. Artist talks, demonstrations, workshops, the Arts Rising Festival, and more. These participatory events are low to no cost for the public to attend. With events for children, teens, adults, and seniors, we strive to be as inclusive as possible.
PDCAC'S ARTS RISING FESTIVAL
This annual festival celebrates all things art in our community. We partner with local artists, galleries, businesses, and community members to bring free and participatory events to the general public. Dance, painting, street art, upcycling, storytelling, music, performances, and more. (This project is part of AMP)
PDCAC ARTS PROMOTION
The PDCAC offers public exhibitions at our gallery in the Leir House Cultural Centre. Exhibitions include works from local art groups, solo and dual exhibitions, works from emerging artists, members only, and those open to the general public. We encourage everyone to submit ideas for exhibitions. (This project is part of AMP)
PDCAC PUBLIC ART EXHIBITIONS
Through our newsletter, Facebook group "Arts Matter", social media pages, printed materials, and online community calendar the PDCAC strives to keep the public and artists informed about what is happening with arts and culture in our community and beyond. (This project is part of AMP)
PDCAC GATHERING SPACES
An upcoming initiative, Gathering Spaces brings together members of the community in the acts of creation with the goal of fostering exposure to the arts and community connection. Knitting groups, painting circles, and more.
